Blackford
Luxurious four bedroomed detached house within a small development in Blackford. The small town is next to the world famous Gleneagles Hotel and Golf Resort.
Within close walking distance are the Gleneagles Equestrian Centre and Shooting and Fishing Schools. A little further are the Hotel and restaurants, as well as the School of Falconry.
Gleneagles
Gleneagles is home to three of the best rated golf courses in the world. Both the King's and the Queen's courses were designed by James Braid and provide a challenge for all levels of golfer amidst some of the most stunning scenery in Perthshire.
The Jack Nicklaus designed PGA Centenary Course is a modern classic and the venue for the 40th Ryder Cup in 2014 as well as the annual Diageo Tournament which is now part of the European Tour. In addition there is a fully staffed Golf Academy and practice ground where lessons can be taken if desired. The keen golfer is spoilt for choice as there are over 50 other courses within a short drive from the house including Auchterarder, Rosemount Blairgowrie, Murrayshall, Crieff, Stirling, Dunblane, King James VI and many more.
Slightly further afield but still less than an hour's drive are Carnoustie, St Andrews, Kingsbarns, Ladybank, Lundin and Leven Links giving the keen golfer the opportunity of playing both links and inland courses.
During the summer months it is perfectly possible to play one of the nearby courses and then play one of the Gleneagles courses in the early evening!
Touring
Of course there is much to offer the non-golfer in this beautiful area of Perthshire. There are other sports available either in the resort or nearby. The historic and beautiful cities of Perth and Stirling are each only 15 minutes away and both Edinburgh and Glasgow are just 50 minutes away. Rob Roy country in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park shouldn't be missed. In short more than enough to keep every member of your party happy!
